We have a fantastic opporunity fo a General Worker at a Automotive company in Kimberley.

Common General Worker Duties:

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform general cleaning, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, and conduct basic maintenance and repairs.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, move, and organize various materials, tools, and equipment using hand trucks, wheelbarrows, or by hand.
• Site Preparation: Clear debris and prepare work sites by leveling surfaces and ensuring the area is safe and ready for tasks.
• Assisting Skilled Workers: Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades by fetching materials, holding tools, and performing other preparatory tasks;
• Inventory Management: Help manage and organize supplies and equipment, maintaining inventories and ensuring storage areas are tidy.
• Equipment Operation: Operate basic tools and machinery, such as power tools, hand tools, and sometimes vehicles like forklifts, under supervision.
• Safety Adherence: Follow all workplace safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report unsafe conditions.
• Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers, and follow instructions to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Skills and Qualities:

• 1–2 years of general labour or workshop experience (preferably within an automotive, manufacturing, or mechanical environment).
• Physical Stamina:The ability to perform physically demanding manual labor.
• Adaptability: Willingness to take on various tasks as needed to support different operations.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulousness when performing tasks to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Basic Math & Communication Skills: Ability to understand instructions and record basic information.
